Compare by fit, not only by category
Start with age range, location, schedule, language and how much structure the child needs. A music school, robotics class, sport programme or art workshop can all be good options, but each one asks for a different weekly rhythm.
For younger children, proximity and predictable timing often matter more than a long activity description. For older children and teens, compare level, group size, progression path and whether the activity is a one-off workshop, a term course or a year-round programme.
